America Wins Big Jeter - Carmelita Jeter of the United States won the Women’s 100m at the IAAF Samsung Diamond League Athletissima meeting at the Olympic stadium today, July 8, 2010 in Lausanne, Switzerland. Carmelita won the event last year with a record a time of 10.64 seconds, the second fastest woman time.

President Obama in Las Vegas- U.S. President Barack Obama was in Las Vegas today to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) during a campaign rally for Reid at the Aria Resort & Casino at CityCenter in Nevada.
