The war of data incited by Mukesh Ambani-led Jio still continues and every other telecom firm is struggling to parallel the competitive rates set by Jio. One of the largest opponent companies of Jio, Vodafone has declared a new Vodafone Campus Survival Kit customized predominantly for the students in Delhi-NCR opting for new Vodafone connections.
The new Vodafone Campus Survival Kit will be providing the subscribers 1GB 4G or 3G data coupled with unlimited voice calls for offer period of 84 days at a recharge of Rs 445. Apart from this, the firm will be also offering—as part of the offer—coupons of Zomato, Ola, and others together with a messenger bag free. Nonetheless, this will be applicable only on the initial recharge, whereas for successive recharges the equal benefits will price Rs 352.
Alok Verma, Vodafone India Delhi circle business head, said, “The survival kit is for a recharge of Rs 445, comprising discount booklet from Zomato, Ola, and others, applicable for 84 days, after the end of validity, a recharge of Rs 352 will offer same benefits.” The firm is considering to release the plan in a phased manner across the country. Arvind Nevatia, Vodafone India National Head for consumer marketing, said, “This scheme will be launched across India. Nevertheless, the recharge price may vary from circle to circle.”
Vodafone is giving out its best to elevate the size of its user base. Among all the recently rolled out schemes, a majority of recharge offers are applicable for new users only, meaning individuals taking new Vodafone connections. Prior to the Vodafone Campus Survival Kit, the firm had rolled out a recharge plan of Rs 244 for its prepaid users, which offered the 1 GB of 4G data every day with 70-day validity. The plan known as First Recharge Coupon 244 is applicable for new subscribers only.
At present, Vodafone also provides free calls with a cap of 300 minutes every day and 1,200 minutes every week coupled with 1GB daily data for 84 days at a recharge of Rs 349—but is a limited period offer—in Delhi-NCR.
