Facebook has claimed that it will be rolling out a standalone application for its Facebook Live feature in the upcoming period. But prior to that, the social media major will be creating a new functionality that will be accessible for its Mentions application through an update.
While declaring the news at its yearly online video meeting VidCon last week, Product Director of Facebook, Daniel Danker, claimed that the application will not only give users permission to Facebook Live, but will also arrive with an innovative “Community” tab. The tab will allow video creators link with their fans throughout various Facebook platforms such as Instagram, Messenger, and the most important Facebook application itself.
There will also be an innovative “Live Creative Kit” that will let creators to add outros, introductions, frames, and custom stickers in their broadcasts. The app is claimed to be rolled out later in 2017.
The firm has not yet provided a specific time period. We can also see this functionality being examined with limited users inside the Mentions application, prior to it being officially rolled out.
Way back in March 2017, Facebook extended its live video functionality and brought it to desktops beyond smartphones. To employ it, users simply have to tap on the “Live video” choice present at the top of their News Feed. After this, they have to put a description and select the target spectators.
Facebook has also inserted a functionality that makes it simpler to employ external hardware or streaming software, when going live through a PC.
In addition to this, users can insert graphics, share their screens, use professional equipments for live videos, and switch cameras as well. They get the choice for broadcasting to Facebook Events, Groups, and the Pages they follow and handle. For gamers, the functionality offers them the capability of simply streaming PC game play to followers and friends.
Well, the new feature from Facebook is surely going to elevate its user base as well as its profit charts. On the other hand, it will be also giving tough competition to its rivals. Let us see as to how much popularity this new feature will gain in the coming period.
