Micromax, the Indian manufacturer, with an intention to increase its customer service has proclaimed a 100-day replacement warranty for selected feature phones. This substitution is applicable for any hardware error on its feature phones portfolio, and the business vow to change the defective device with an equivalent one or identical model.
For now, Micromax has implemented this replacement vow for 10 of its feature phones. This includes Micromax x706, Micromax X1i, Micromax x740, Micromax x424, Micromax x904, Micromax x730, Micromax x512, Micromax x570, Micromax x726, and Micromax x412 phones. To be entitled to substitution, the selected feature phones should be in the initial 100 days from the device activation date. The feature phone should also be within warranty, and the substitution will be done if a software fix is not doable. If the eligible feature phone needs a hardware repair, it will be swapped with an equivalent or identical model.
All of the above-named feature phones have a 1-year warranty, and the substitution will be likely only if it is in warranty. The company asserts to have 1,000 service centers throughout the country, and in the last 8 months, Micromax seems to have fixed 68% of customer complaints on the same day.
The Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer, Shubhodip Pal, said, “In the past few quarters, the company has worked diligently and invested heavily in enhancing our service experience. We have a huge user base of feature phone and for these treasured users; one of the main intentions for purchasing their phone is a superior after sale service experience. Taking our vow a step forward, we are now offering a care-free user experience for all the customers of feature phone by providing them full substitution within 100 days of buying, if any issue occurs. The service team is functioning toward enhancing the entire customer service experience within the service centers, which comprises creating a more professional atmosphere, getting accurate service at first attempt, and hiring skilled service executives among few of the other initiatives.”
