LG, the South Korean tech giant, is famous for its smartphones as well as home appliances. Ki Wan Kim, MD of LG Electronics, recently made a statement that made clear the intentions of the company.
Kim reported to media that the company is looking for a partnership with a telecom company in India. When asked about this, he said that it is all part of the plan. What plan? Well, let us tell you in brief. LG is popular for its smart home appliances. These appliances can be controlled by the users with the help of apps developed by the company. To name some, the company has its LG HomeChat and SamrtThinQ app launched in the market.
As per Kim, users in India are now approaching towards creating a smart home. And this can be initiated by using smart appliances. And to operate these smart appliances, users need apps that control them. Till here, the plan seems to be going good. But Kim says that users should have Internet connectivity 24 x 7 to operate the app and control the appliances.
Well, this seems pretty logical. And hence, the company is looking for a telecom giant to partner with in India and expand its business. The most eligible contender for this partnership according to us is Reliance Jio. Yes!!!! It is pretty obvious in today’s date.
Jio is already ruling the Indian telecom market due to its ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan’ offer. The company has also paired up with Vivo smartphones on behalf of IPL. And now, why would the company miss such a golden opportunity?
Ki Wan Kim is totally aware about the impact of the Indian market all over the world. And due to this knowledge, LG is looking out for a telecom giant. When asked, Kim said, “LG has already established its name in the smart appliances market. It also has its apps and command over IoT. The only thing that they need now is a 24 x 7 Internet connectivity that will keep its users connected to the LG apps throughout the day.”
Well, according to us, Reliance Jio will take this deal if offered. What do you think?
