Before we start, make sure about the following things:
- The battery of the smartphone must be more than 80%.
- Your smartphone is plugged throughout the entire encryption process.
- Keep a back up of your files as a safe side in case something goes wrong.
Go the Settings of your smartphone. You can do this by either clicking on the Settings option or going via notification bar. Select Security option from the Settings.
In the Security option, search for the Encrypt Phone option. Initiate the encryption process by clicking on the Encrypt Phone option.
Wait for the initiation process to complete. Once done, the system will now ask you for the confirmation. The system does this twice. Click on Encrypt both the times when the system asks.
As soon as you grant the permission, the device will reboot automatically to start the process of encryption.
There is nothing to do here. All you have to do is wait since the process can take a while. You can have some quick snacks.
As soon as the encryption process is done, the mobile will reboot once again.
Your phone is now encrypted…
So friends, get up and encrypt your smartphone now!!!
