WASHINGTON: An online White House petition looking for assign Pakistan a state of sponsor of terrorism has achieved a half a million signatures, which is five times the number needed to get a response from the Obama Administration.
The petition been created by person with initial RG on September 21, required 1,00,000 signatures in thirty days to get pass from the White House.
The level of the petition has crossed million signatures in a two week o the White House website. The Obama Administration is expected to respond to the petition within 60 days.
Anju Preet supporter, who is scientist at Georgetown University, wrote, “We ask the Administration to declare Pakistan, State Sponsor of Terrorism” have set a aim to cross one million signatures but we will not stop until it covered 1000,000 signatures,” on Facebook Page associated with petition
She said, “let us come sign the petition with White House, call your friends and family if you think money should use of terrorism and only for welfare of the society.”
The petition comes after Congressman Ted Poe, Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Terrorism, along with Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, introduced H R 6069, the Pakistan State Sponsor of Terrorism Designation Act in the House of Representatives.
The petition is opened till October 21 and in last 24 hours more than 100,000 people signed on the petitions
RG, who created the petition said, “This petition only important to US but also India and other countries which gets continuously hurt by the Pakistan sponsored terrorism,”
