Bengaluru: Mobile 10X is the programme initiated by the IAMAI (Internet and Mobile Association of India) with OnionsFans, which is a tech media and venture fund based in Singapore. It organized a two-day summit where more than 150 early staged startups were pitched to 15Chinese investors.
OnionFans consist of a number of Chinese founders in its group and is highly focused on bringing the investors to India in every 3 months for identifying the key mobile internet startups in different sectors ranging from ed-tech, e-commerce, fin-tech, healthcare and B2B platforms.
The COO of Mobile10X, Satyendra Verma, “It is the first Chinese investor connect platform which has been established for Indian startups. In future, they might be setting up a similar type of platforms with investors from few other countries.” He added, “We will be looking at varied startups, but have planned to invest $5 at max in one project.”
The founder of GVC (Grand View Capital) also shared his words on this topic. Some of the Indian startups in which they are interested in investing in can be big data platforms that can partner with few of the Chinese portfolio companies in order to become stronger and create a way for global expansion.
