The mogul Rap artist Lil’ Wayne has pleaded guilty to the attempted criminal possession of a weapon in New York.
He is expected to be sentenced one year in jail according to the Manhattan district attorney’s office.
Mr. Carter was arrested in July 2007 when police found him and some other smoking marijuana and found a .40-caliber pistol in his possession. When indicted in February 2008, Carter pleaded not guilty but soon after pleaded guilty for a reduced charge.
